High School Youth Group - Grades 9-12, Wednesday 7-8:30pm

Mission:

The goal of the youth groups is to provide the youth of the parish a fun, faith-filled environment that will help each person grow in their relationship with God.  We meet every week, year-round, in the youth room and focus on the areas of catechesis, spirituality, social justice, and building community.  We also offer many retreat opportunities and social activities to keep the youth busy, such as our summer and fall retreats, CYC Convention, Bible study, worship nights, book club, ski trips, broom hockey, rafting, folf, camping, caving, lock-ins, weekly service projects, and much, much more!  Don’t miss out, and if you have any questions, please contact Brian Shea at brians@stbernardblgs.org.

 June 10 (Wednesday 7:00-11:00pm) - Worship Night - We will kick off the summer with a night of worship, games, and ice cream. We will meet at the church at 7pm and carpool down to Zimmerman Park for worship and prayer. We will finish the night with an ice cream stop, then drive back to the church for board games. Please bring ice cream money for this fun night.

 June 14 - 16 (Sunday 8:30am to Tuesday 4pm) - Camping Trip - This Sunday, we will attend the 9am Mass and then load up the vehicles for a three-day camping trip to East Rosebud. Get your forms in early, as space is limited for this great trip!

June 17 - Bucket Ball - Tonight, we will be trying a new game called Bucket Ball. This is an easier version of golf with giant clubs and wiffle balls.

June 24 - Carnival Night - This week, we have carnival games with lots of chances to win some fun prizes.

 June 29 (Monday 8:40am) - Join us for our first golf day of the summer. We will meet at the church at 8:40am and drive to Par 3 for 18 holes. The cost is $12, and the winning team gets our golf jackets until our next tournament.

 July 1 - Brains, Guts, and Muscles - Tonight, we will have a huge competition of different games where you have to use your brains, guts, and muscles to win.

July 8 - Finger Rockets - Come join us for a huge Finger Rockets battle. Feel free to invite your friends for this youth group favorite night!

July 10-17 - Summer Retreat - There will be no youth group this week as Brian, the volunteers, and the high school youth will be on a week-long retreat.

 July 22 - Water Wars - Make sure you wear clothes that can get wet, as we will have many different games involving water and our giant slip-and-slide.

 July 29 - Dude Perfect Mini Games - This week, we will compete against teams to see which team can win the most Dude Perfect Mini Games.

 August 5 - Summer Olympics - Come join us for our 22nd annual Summer Olympics! We will compete in a series of games to see who can take home the gold medals.

 August 6 (Thursday 9:45am) - Golf Day - Join us for the last golf day of the summer. We will meet at the church at 9:45am and drive to Par 3 for 18 holes. The cost is $12, and the winning team gets to keep the golf jackets for the school year.

August 9 (Sunday 7:00 - 11:00pm) - Worship Night - We will have one last worship night before school starts up. We will meet at the church at 7pm and carpool to the Rims for worship. After worship, we will make a quick ice cream stop (please bring money) and will drive back to the church for board games.

August 12 (Wednesday 5:45pm) - Book Club - Don’t miss dinner and discussion, as we talk about the book, Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller. After youth group, we will watch the movie. I have the books for $5 while supplies last.

 August 12 - Slip-and-Slide Kickball - This week, we will be playing slip-andslide kickball. Make sure you wear clothes that can get wet for this fun night.

 August 19 - Skate Party - Tonight, we will have a huge skate party with our carpet skates. There will be music, games, and prizes for this fun night.

 August 26 - Water Balloon Assassins - Finish the summer off with a night of water balloon assassins. This game is a mix of hide-and-seek and a giant water balloon fight. ___________________________________________________________________
