VBS 2008 - Rainforest AdventureDuring the week June 23rd-27th the Children of St. Bernard's Parish went on an adventure to the Rainforest. Under the guidance of Director of Religious Education Kimberly Haaland the children spent the week learning how to live each and every day as we care for what God has so generously given us. At Rainforest Adventure children experienced the stewardship of God’s earth with daily themes of: We Share, WE Give, We Grow, We Love, and We Praise! Over 120 children attended the weeklong event participating in singing, praying, learning bible stories, snacking and enjoying sports and crafts. The week would not have been possible without the following volunteers; my heart felt appreciation goes out to each and every one of them. Thank you to all the volunteers who took time to teach the children about our Catholic Faith: Daniel Beierwaltes, Sara Cameron, Alex Chase, Kayla Droogsma, Julie Gayvert, Leigh Gipe, Brownie Green, Connor Haaland, Jasmine Hintz, Hodi Ikeda, Michela Jacobson, Mackenzie Larchick, Lynette Lynch, Loretta Michels, Jake Mickels, Jessica Moorhouse, Maddie Murray, Amy Petersen, Jourden Redmond, Bailey Rheaume, Tracy Rheaume, Mark Rheaume, Ann Salisbury, Castle Salisbury, Brian Shea, Kim Sindelar, Angie Stokes, Mary Strauss, Betsy Sullivan, Gage Swarm, James Themig, Sadie Watson, and Crystal West Jr. Join us next year as we may visit Galilee by the sea or we may discover Jesus’ miraculous power by making a power lab!
