The Social Justice Committee
participates in aid to the following: Martha’s and Mary’s bereavement, Women’s and family shelter, Support of maintenance for one room at the shelter and have painted and carpeted several others. Political issues, Right to Life, Parish nurses Grief support Home visits Blood pressure checking monthly at the Church Helpings Hands Food Ministry, first Sunday of every month Education program and Birth Right Liturgical events, Sacrament of the Sick Blood Mobile Poison Counseling Rice Bowl Habitat for Humanity Food Bank
The Haitian committee has been very active with the leadership of Tom and Mary Koelzer. The parish has been supporting our sister parish of St. Vincent de Paul in Mirabilis, Haiti for over ten years sending monthly funds to support the parish and the school. In 2002 our parish collected funds of $60,000 for the building of a school for our sister parish, we continue to send funds, food and medicine to help our families in need in Haiti.
