| St. Bernard’s Music Ministry Singing is for one who loves. –St. Augustine Current ministry opportunities are: Adult Choir This choir has been singing weekly (with summers off) since 1992. Rehearsals take place on Sunday mornings at 8am in the music office. They sing every Sunday at the 9am Mass. Membership is open to all who are interested in exploring this ministry further. If interested in joining, contact Judy Kniss. Praise Band This group was formed for the needs of the young church. The music is the combination of the best modern praise music and catholic tradition. The contemporary worship team consists of a small group of singers backed with guitars, bass, drums, strings and piano. If interested in joining, contact Judy Kniss. Children’s Choir The children’s choir sings once a month for the 11am mass. Songs for the children are fun-filled with hand motions. They fully participate in the mass which includes all mass parts and cantoring. Ages range from 4-12 years old. Rehearsals take place the week before they sing in the music office. It is required that the children make rehearsal if they are singing at mass. If interested in joining, contact Judy Kniss. Cantoring To cantor is to lead the assembly to a fuller participation in the liturgy. If interested in joining, contact Judy Kniss.
