St. Christopher’s Circle meets the 4th Monday of each month in St. Clair’s Room of Daly Hall from 1-3 PM. Our mission is to sponsor the bake sale during the annual Fall Craft Sale and sell advertising for local businesses in quarterly church handouts. Contact Mary Ann Kostkas, 259-2807, or Anisia Begger, 252-9181. St. Joan’s Circle Meets the 3rd Wednesday of each month in the evenings at members’ homes. We operate the Religious Goods Store at the back of the Church, assist with the Fall Craft Sale and serve coffee and donuts at the fellowship time after church once a month. Contact Ellen Lewis, 252-1986 or Toni Clemmons, 256-7616. For information about upcoming activities please call the co-chairs listed at the bottom of the page. Catholic Women’s Corner Council of Catholic Women (CCW) educates, empowers and supports women in their vocations in the married, single and consecrated life in the areas of spirituality, leadership and service. Thanks to all who helped fill 233 Christmas stockings that were placed on the altar for Toy Sunday. 188 were donated to St. Vincent DePaul along with 33 goodie bags. Forty-five went to Angela’s Piazza in time for Christmas! Members of all three circles collect small "party favor" toys and candies after Halloween – enough to create huge piles on six tables – to fill the stockings that Marion VonRohr sews during the year. Thank you, also, to St. Joan’s Circle for providing the refreshments for the evening. At St. Christopher’s Circle’s Christmas party, the women brought things for a baby shower for the women at Angela’s Piazza. Thank you for your generosity. WE are putting together a history of CCW activities since the inception of the parish. If anyone has photos of our gatherings at parish, vicariate, diocesan, or national events, please contact Alice Kenat at 248-2420, or leave your information and photos with the gift shop attendant after Masses on weekends. Please remember to check the listings in St. Christopher’s Circle’s quarterly Yellow Pages when you are looking for a reliable business to patronize. St. Joan’s Religious Goods Store is open after every weekend Mass. Stop in to see their new items for Easter, 1st Communion and Confirmation gifts. For any more information on anything, please contact one of the board members listed below. Officers: Sheila Hellekson, Co-Chair 248-5106 Mary Ann Kostkas, Co-Chair 259-2807 |
